Joshua Aaron

Joshua Aaron is an award winning, Messianic Jewish singer and songwriter. He and his wife Jeannie have four children (Emma, Josh “Shuki”, Max and Levi). They currently reside near the Sea of Galilee and continue to maintain citizenship with both the nation of Israel & the United States of America.

Since the release of his first album, Joshua’s music has grown to an international level, with well over 5 million YouTube views of his music videos. His 2012 release “You Are Holy“ won him two Independent Music Awards for his original songs, “Hoshiana” and “You Are Holy” while his latest CD release “Hu Yavo” (July 2014) soars to new heights, continuing to powerfully connect both the church and Israel through music.

Joshua travels in a full time capacity, sharing G-d’s good news through Hebraic worship, powerful testimony and biblical teaching… proclaiming a message of hope in Yeshua (Jesus), a love for the Jewish people and a desire for the return of the Messiah. His connection to the Messianic movement dates back to 1976 when his mother (an Israeli-born Jew) accepted Messiah after hearing a message by the late Rabbi Martin Chernoff about the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua. Although being born in the U.S., Joshua’s roots to the modern nation of Israel date back to the early 1940’s when his maternal Grandmother Ruth Epstein migrated from Germany to the “Promised Land”.

It is there where his mother was born (in 1948) and listed as the first adopted Jew in the modern state of Israel. Chana, (Joshua’s mother) had been given up for adoption as an infant while in Haifa, Israel in the year 1948. At the age of 11 she was sent (by her adopted mother) from Haifa, Israel to Bronx, NY where she would live until she was 18 years old. At the age of 21, for the first time she discovered the news… she was adopted and life went on for the next 30 years. Then, in 1998 something wonderful had happened. Joshua, Shoshana (sister) and Chana were sent on a flight to Tel Aviv, Israel where they were to air Chana’s story of the search for her family. And what happened next was amazing. The host of this nationally televised show declared that not only were they to help her find her family, but in the studio was Chana’s brother. Chana was the surprise guest! Micha (Chana’s brother), Chana, Joshua, Shoshana and the entire audience began to weep. Such a reunion was unimaginable, but there they were, two siblings that have not seen each other for 50 years, now reunited because of God’s restoring power. Ruth Epstein (Chana’s mother) had fled from Germany to Israel in the 1940’s.

When Chana was just one year old, she and her brother Micha were taken away from their mother (who was a single mother at the time) and given up for adoption by two separate families. Micha was just 3 years old when he was separated from his baby sister Chana, and he said he remembered that little baby girl and never knew where she was or where she went. Micha is no doubt her brother. They resemble each other in so many ways and they both have that same compassionate smile. Through this reunion several people have been added to the family.

Joshua now has added an uncle, aunt and many cousins that live in the Israel. Also, two aunts were found in Great Britain through this telecast and God has brought restoration to Chana and has blessed the entire family with… more family! Joshua says, “I believe my mother’s story is a picture of God’s family. One day a great reunion will take place that will unite all believers. This is the heart of Messiah as read in John 17:21, that we would be one… not a broken family but joined together as God has intended for His purposes.”
