Has God given you a promise? Is there something that you have seen Him do in your life, or something that you are still waiting for Him to do? Whether you are standing at the foot of the mountain or on top of it, one thing remains true-if God has given you a promise, He is absolutely faithful to fulfill it. He will do it!

Our life with God is a journey and sometimes along the way we get weary and tired. We start to wonder if we will ever see the breakthrough for which we are praying and waiting. Anyone who is called of God will have to walk through seasons like this.

I can remember a time when I was very frustrated because I wasn't seeing the promise God had given me. I wasn't sure of why God had placed me where He had. He spoke a promise to me and then placed me in what seemed to be a wilderness. I struggled to connect with the people He had placed around me and I felt very alone. It was during this time that a dear friend came alongside me to remind me not to give up on the promise God had spoken. She reminded me of what I couldn't see, the ways that God was moving in that moment. The doors He opened, the favor He had given and the voices of encouragement that were placed there to help me push through the wilderness.

On the other side of the wilderness is the promise. Yet every promise is preceded by a process. I believe that God wants us to embrace the process as it will form us and make us ready for the promise.

Today if you are walking through the fire, through the valley, or on the mountain top - remind yourself God is good and faithful. He is with you and will teach you to be content as you press towards the promise He has given you. Stay faithful. God won't let you down!

As the disciples were getting debriefed for their first trip out without Jesus, do you think they felt scared? After all, they were about to go out and 'drive out evil spirits and heal every disease and sickness' (verse 1). But Jesus was clear: the only fear they should have was of God.

Sand & Stars - Song Devotional

In Deuteronomy legacy is referred to as the Seed of Abraham. The New Testament connects us to that promise, referring to all people grafted into the family of Israel and again referred to as the Seed of Abraham. Legacy has always been close to the Father's heart.
