Day 9 - Refiner's Fire
Reflect
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold and precious silver
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold, pure gold
(Lyrics from Refiner's Fire)
Be Still
Breathe in slowly. What is the Lord inviting you to pay attention to at this moment?
Meditate
Read the Scripture several times. What word or phrase stands out to you? Spend some time meditating on it. What might the Lord be inviting you to notice or do with this word or phrase?
1 Peter 5:10
But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
Ponder
Spend some time journaling your answers (or making a voice memo) to the following questions.
In what areas of your life are you experiencing suffering?
Where do you notice the Lord working in the midst of your suffering?
Divide a piece of paper into four equal parts. In each section, make a list of the ways that the Lord is perfecting you, establishing you, strengthening you, and settling you in this season. What themes do you notice in your lists?
