Day 2 - Thin Place
Reflect
This is a thin place
This is where You meet with us
This is a sacred space
This is where You meet with us
Holy ground, we are standing on holy ground
Just by being here with You
(Lyrics from Thin Place)
Be Still
Breathe in slowly. What is the Lord inviting you to pay attention to at this moment?
Meditate
Read the Scripture several times. What word or phrase stands out to you? Spend some time meditating on it. What might the Lord be inviting you to notice or do with this word or phrase?
1 Kings 19:11-13
He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh." Behold, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before Yahweh; but Yahweh was not in the wind. After the wind an earthquake; but Yahweh was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire passed; but Yahweh was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. It was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. Behold, a voice came to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
Ponder
Spend some time journaling your answers (or making a voice memo) to the following questions.
Where is your current thin place? Look at your calendar and schedule a date to meet God in that place in the upcoming weeks.
How has the Lord come to you in new and unexpected ways in your life?
Spend some time recording the most significant moments where God has met you. What physical reminder could you put around you to remember those significant moments?
