Have you ever needed a miracle? Have you ever just wished you could change your situation or see a breakthrough happen for yourself or someone else in your life? Well, the good news is that God is a Miracle Maker. Throughout scripture, we read of all that Jesus accomplished in His ministry. He healed those who were sick, He raised the dead, made the blind to see, and cleansed the most unclean of people from their sins.
Do we still believe that miracles happen today? If the bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever then we should believe He is still a Miracle Maker. In Mark 11, Jesus is speaking to His disciples about faith. He tells them if they have faith in God, they can speak to “this mountain” and it will crumble and fall into the sea. I believe this speaks to the things that seem impossible to us. The healing we are praying for, the salvation of a loved one, the financial needs we have, the relationships that need to be restored. All those things can seem like mountains that are much bigger than us. Yet, God is able to move them and He wants to do it through us.
You see, there’s a spiritual revelation for us in this verse. Jesus is actually inviting you to agree with Heaven and partner with the will of God—which is to save, heal, and deliver. By simply and confidently trusting that God will do what He says, we are a part of ushering His will into the earth.
We also have to remember that there is power in our words. We can choose to speak life or we can speak death over ourselves and others. The choice is entirely ours and sometimes we don’t realize when we aren’t speaking life. Be encouraged today that you have the power and the ability in Christ, through faith, to speak over the circumstances (“mountains”) in front of you. Let your faith arise and let your heart picture the coming victory even now.
Take a few moments to read this scripture in Mark 11 and then ask the Holy Spirit to help you walk in this bold kind of faith. God is faithful and the victory belongs to Him.
